1/25 Mending Workshop Ticket

Sunday January 25th, 2026 from 2-4pm

Join Zander and artist and designer Mazlyn Ortiz at Zander’s Dumbo, Brooklyn studio for a mending workshop! Mending instructor Mazlyn is one of the founders of GOING— a transatlantic “eclectic darning project,” challenging traditional methods of mending and repair and utilizing them as a creative practice.

This workshop will cover various techniques for mending & repair but focus primarily on darning, a method for repairing holes in clothing using a woven darn stitch. Participants will be encouraged to explore these techniques as functional repair methods, as well as an opportunity for expressive mark-making. 

No prior experience required. All materials are provided, but bring your own tools if you please! Be sure to bring a damaged/torn/stained garment or textile to work with. We encourage items that are made up of natural materials such as wool, cotton, or linen, and the chunkier, the better.
